Perfometer
The Perfometer consists of two semi-circular gauges, volatility and return, and a weather icon.
To the right are the return and volatility of the instrument against the index, with the relative differences highlighted. Finally, the weather icon is highlighted with the adjusted benchmark return and relative return.
Return:
The outer gauge illustrates the performance of the selected portfolio, graduated from red to green, which is displayed when you hover the cursor over it.
The centre, or midpoint, represents the index. Thus, if the outperformance is high, the indicator will be positioned on the right and will be green. Conversely, if the underperformance is significant, the cursor will be positioned on the left and will be red.
Volatility:
The inner gauge represents the index's risk, with blue indicating low risk and red indicating high risk, as shown when you hover over it.
Midday is the reference point for the index, so any volatility below the index will be blue (cold) on the left, and any excess volatility will be red (Boiling) on the right.
Weather:
In the centre of the Perfometer, when hovering over the Weather icon, all possible levels of the scale are displayed in transparency. The Weather level corresponding to the instrument remains highlighted, allowing its position on the Weather scale to be visualised immediately.
Adjusted Performance:
Adjusted Performance allows the instrument to be compared with its Benchmark by taking into account their respective risk levels.
Based on the instrument's volatility, the Perfometer determines the performance that the Benchmark should have generated at an equivalent risk level: this is the Adjusted Benchmark.
The Adjusted Relative Performance then measures the gap between the instrument's actual performance and this adjusted reference performance.
A positive value indicates that the instrument has outperformed its Benchmark at equivalent risk.
A negative value indicates that it has underperformed its Benchmark at equivalent risk.
